Drug Eater Timeline

The History of the Nechronica world can be found in the "World section" of the basic rule book. However, in the world there are many smaller incidents. This is the only incident that has occured with the undead Drug Eaters, which were widely distributed in the late human era. This chronology should show you the social impact of the Drug Eater.

2062	A major innovation in embalming treatment technology happens due to the discovery of advanced cosmetics. Big effects can be realized with minimal efforts, eliminating the need for traditional craftmanship.
2101	The popularity of corpse preservation by girl corpse lover circles rises in Europe. The corpses preserved around this time as well as their genes were heavily utilized in the creation of Drug Eaters, which ultimately lead to the outbreak of the Undead epidemic in Europe.
2129	A video of the later-known Dr Bett, was leaked online. At that time the subject of the video was identified as a malicious, artifically created work, but was later understood to be an early type of Drug Eater.
2139	There is a record of a girl contacting the Child Abuse Guidance Centre in a small far eastern country. However, she was never arrived at the home where she was heading for protection and was ultimately reported missing.
2141	Mass production of Undead clones is confirmed. Significant volume of various Undead soldiers are created in countries with Necromantic technology.
2143	A murder is commited by a Necromancer in the heart of North America. The Necromancer decapicated his girlfriend and then raised her as one of the Undead. He was on the run for about a week before his capture.
2144	Necromantic technology is leaked. Outbreaks of numerous Necromancers swiftly follow. A Funeral service using Necromancy is born in the Far East. This service, popularly known as the Zombie Funeral, explodes with popularity in East Asian countries that have become increasingly less religious.
2145	Private Necromancy starts to develop and improve. 'Artistic' techniques for creating facial expressions and performing cosmetic surgery far more beautiful than before starts to develop in some areas. To try and stop the practice of the Zombie Funerals and accidents caused by the resulting Zombies, the price of the service is raised. This is subverted by clients only animating the head of the corpse and discarding the rest of the body. In a Far Eastern Country private ownership of heads is legally permitted. The legal proceeding becomes internationally known as the "Living Image" trial. In the same country, the president of a major pharmaceutical company is found dead. Authorities deem it a suicide and do not disclose any further information.
2146	'DesignedElf' is established within a Far Eastern Country. As a mascot of the company DE, the 'elf' is marketed for it's warmth and expressive nature. In the same Far Eastern Country, the new pharmaceutical president diverts vast corporate funds and human resources to DE. Despite being dismissed from the role of president by shareholder concerns, the dismissed man becomes the president of DE. The word 'Drug Eater' starts to emerge in the media.
2147	DE Registers the trademark of 'Drug Eater' as a public relations strategy. DE launches media about Drug Eaters. A dedicated video site for Drug Eaters is opened alongside the first Drug Eater manufacturing plant in East Asia.
2148	Headhunter serial killings emerge in North America. More than a dozen women have their heads cut off and are left to decay as trophies in the rooms of their killers. The Zombie Funeral that keeps the heads of departed loved ones forever beautiful becomes an international sensation. Imitation headhunter killings start to emerge in East Asia. Various and many Drug Eater production companies start to arise in the East and contribute to Drug Eater culture.
2149	DE wins a 'Biological Cloning Trial' case and starts to sell Drug Eater clones based on the genes of living humans. In the Far East, a number of Drug Eater production companies begin to sell Drug Eater clones based off of the genes of entertainers and models. Mass media begins to actively promote Drug Eaters.
2150	An Undead pet production service is established in North America, mainly for the creation of non-human Undead such as dogs and birds. Developed countries see a spike in illegal cloning committed by stalkers. A Drug Eater Idol 'Camelia' debuts in the Far East and gains explosive popularity in the international community. Many Drug Eaters are created from the aftermath of Opera House experiments and are sold to secure more funding for the MK Ultra Project.
2151	International Drug Eater rights laws are created. Protection groups are launched and abusers of Drug Eaters are punished. In Nordic countries, it is decided to distribute Drug Eaters to the elderly.
2152	In an East Asian Country, a Drug Eater with excessive biological modification escapes. It is a disaster that causes dozens of casualties. The Drug Eater 'Kartikeya' created by local governments in small far eastern countries to revitalize the region begins to receive attention from the military industry. The municipality promises co-operation with public relations and approves of providing Drug Eater technology to the military.
2153	In Europe, armed clashes occur between a cult that worships the Drug Eater 'Cherubim' and a protection group. In a small African country, the Dictator President Milton transplants his Ego into a former lover-turned Drug Eater and continues his rule as head of state.
2154	A Far Eastern Country is devastated by an Earthquake. The DE Headquarters are also destroyed and all the branch offices of DE start to operate independently. The DE North American branch create a stress relief Drug Eater 'M-Alice' to resolve the tension of soldiers and begins selling them secretly. These drug eaters are often sadistically abused and are created to endure such suffering.
2155	The Final War begins. At the same time, many Drug Eaters are brought into shelters around the world as pets.
2180	Necromancers actively protect and collect surviving Drug Eaters, often making them into pets.
2200	Many Drug Eaters have ended up as hostile remodelled and recreated creatures as the Necromancers turn their attentions to creating Dolls. However, there are still many Drug Eaters that still remain as pets without any combat ability.
